After you are properly aligned on the Gamma Knife bed, your nurse and doctor will leave the room and move to the control area. You will still be able to talk with your doctor and nurse, and you will be monitored at all times by a camera in the Gamma Knife room. The bed will advance, positioning your head inside the shielded sphere that contains the sources of radiation.
